Get to Know the Lighthouse – “Summer Senses”

Can you imagine doing your job without sight or without sight and hearing? Every day, people who are blind, DeafBlind, and blind with other disabilities come to work at The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc. in all areas of manufacturing, administration, human resources, training, and more.

The Lighthouse has been providing employment opportunities for 100 years, hosted a world-renowned DeafBlind camp for 40 years, and maintained a Fragrant Garden at our Seattle facility which has stimulated the senses of our employees for 45 years.

We invite you to step out of the comfort of your home or office and join us for a “Get to Know the Lighthouse” experience. Explore your senses with us as together we tour the manufacturing floor, the Ethel L. Dupar Fragrant Garden, and some of the specialized programs offered here at the Lighthouse.
