About

The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc. currently employs nearly 400 individuals, approximately 240 of whom are blind, Deaf-Blind, or blind with other disabilities. In addition to offering employment opportunities, the Lighthouse provides a wide range of support services and vocational, mobility, technology, braille literacy, and American Sign Language training for employees who are visually impaired.

We are a successful manufacturing organization that is committed to making jobs accessible to individuals with a visual disability. Our manufacturing operations center on making quality products for the federal government and The Boeing Company.

Our service businesses provide professional work for the federal government and private companies.

We also have outreach and educational programs for the community at large, including our nationally acclaimed Deaf-Blind Retreat and Community Classes as well as a local school program to educate elementary school students about blindness and Deaf-Blindness.

Your generous charitable support through Redefining Vision make it possible for The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc. to create these positions and to support the individuals we employ.
